Essentials for Laravel projects

Inspired by nunomaduro/essentials, but configured differently: instead of an opt-out disabled array, each default here is a class that decides for itself whether it applies (via enabled()), is listed explicitly in an opt-in configurables array, and can be registered at runtime with Essentials::extend() — so other packages can ship their own defaults without the consuming app touching config at all.

Installation

You can install the package via Composer:

composer require foxws/laravel-essentials

You may publish all of the package's resources at once:

php artisan vendor:publish --tag="essentials"

Or, you may publish each resource individually:

php artisan vendor:publish --tag="essentials-config"

Usage

Once installed, Laravel Essentials applies a set of sensible defaults automatically — no code required:

// Model::shouldBeStrict(), URL::forceHttps(), Date::use(CarbonImmutable::class), and more.
